The end of another school year is just around the corner – or already here – for children throughout Southern Nevada.

Instead of hitting the couch for the summer, UNLV is offering K-12 students a chance to head to campus to experience the excitement of being part of a leading research university and discover paths that could lead to future careers.

Does your child want to build robots, become a cyber detective, or learn how to code? Maybe they'd like to unlock the mysteries of the cosmos side-by-side with the experts, learn what it takes to become a nurse, or gain life skills that will help them start school next fall ahead of the curve.

It’s all possible through UNLV’s Young Rebels program, a new way for parents to access youth programming offered by multiple colleges throughout the university. Young Rebels gives parents improved access and awareness to dozens of summer programs for elementary, middle or high school students in a safe and supportive environment.

“Young Rebels takes the guesswork out for families looking to connect with the dozens of exceptional programs we offer at UNLV for K-12 students over the summer and throughout the year,” said Rob Levrant, director of strategic initiatives for UNLV Educational Outreach and leader of the Young Rebels program. “Whether your student's passion is dance, writing, math or robotics, or any of a number of other programs, know there is something for all of their interests. They don't need to wait for college. Sign up and have them join us at UNLV now!”

Young Rebels is managed by the Office of the President and the Office of the Executive Vice President & Provost and is supported by the Division of Educational Outreach.
