A Parable About Passing on Knowledge and Wisdom
In the Mountain Village of Aster, there lived an old scholar named Ren who carried a small lantern wherever he went.
For many years, people came from distant lands to learn from him.

They asked him about farming, engineering, history, leadership, and the mysteries of the world.

Ren answered every question patiently.

One day, a young apprentice named Kai asked:

"Master Ren, why do you spend so much time teaching others? Knowledge is something you worked your whole life to collect. Why not keep it as your own treasure?"

Ren looked at his lantern and smiled.

"Because knowledge kept in one place becomes a forgotten book. Knowledge shared becomes a guiding light."

The apprentice thought carefully about this answer.

Years passed, and Kai became skilled in many crafts.
He learned the lessons Ren had taught him and discovered new ideas of his own.

One evening, Kai visited Ren and said:

"I understand now why you shared your knowledge. But I wonder, how can I pass it on correctly?"

Ren handed him the lantern.

"Do not only pass along what you know. Pass along how you learned."

Kai looked puzzled.

Ren explained:

"Facts are the seeds of knowledge. Experience is the soil. Wisdom is knowing when and how to help those seeds grow."

He continued:

"Teach people the answers, but also teach them how to ask better questions. Give them your discoveries, but also share your mistakes. A person who receives only conclusions may repeat your actions. A person who understands your journey can create their own path."

Years later, Kai became the teacher of a new generation.
His students asked:

"How did you become so wise?"

Kai pointed toward the mountain path.

"I walked a road built by those before me. Now my responsibility is to strengthen that road for those who follow."

The students asked:

"Will your knowledge disappear when you are gone?"

Kai smiled.

"No. A lesson shared becomes part of someone else's thinking. A kindness shared becomes part of someone else's character. Wisdom does not become smaller when it is given away."

At the center of Aster Village, a tradition began.
Every teacher carried a lantern.

When they taught a student, they lit another lantern.

Soon, the entire village glowed with thousands of lights.

And the people remembered:

Knowledge is a treasure that grows when shared.

Wisdom is not measured by how much one person knows, but by how many others are empowered to learn, create, and guide the future.
