If there’s anyone who knows how to read the local business community, it’s a veteran reporter and columnist who has been writing about it for 40 years: Patti Payne.
GLG connected with Patti to see how she was feeling about the response by business leadership to the coronavirus pandemic and which companies were doing it right. Can she name names? You bet.
We also wanted to know how she’s tackling the challenges of working from home as a reporter and columnist. It’s on this subject where her eternal optimism shines and becomes infectious.
Patti’s reporting has been seen on virtually every major broadcast outlet in Seattle, including KOMO TV, KING TV, and KIRO TV. Lately, she’s been writing the popular column "Cool Pads" for the Puget Sound Business Journal. Her stories about where and how people live (and not just the rich and famous) are an inspiration to a national audience. We asked Patti about how her column came about; her answer was surprisingly simple.
